The soundtrack is phenomenal as well. Can you tell me if there are any other horror films from Iran?

Also: Videodrome is so incredible. Going to try to give it a rewatch before Halloween.

What's your opinion of Existenz (if you have one)?
subterrene.bsky.social
I had to stop. There are many more that are worthy lol

There's some films I consider horror that some people wouldn't - like Sorcerer or Perfect Sense. It's in the eye of the beholder lol

I mean, it's a kind of horror, the genre is a spectrum. I'm glad it's diverse and not all just like, slasher films

That 10 horror films to get to know me list just might also be my top ten horror films altogether. Though An American Werewolf in London, Alien, Aliens, The Fly, and The Fly 2 get special mention

MySpace connected me with a lot of musicians, a few of which I travelled to meet and perform with in IRL. FB and IG have helped less with that, but some.

That's just great. Next time I leave the country I'm telling people I'm Canadian

DJT was advocating for slavery at Alligator Alcatraz, saying farmers could 'be responsible' for immigrants incarcerated there.

We should have closed the slavery loophole in that amendment to the Constitution a long time ago.

They should have just used AI, if they're going to lie anyway. Follow their president's lead

Made the first curry I've ever personally made that I would call delicious last night - potatoes, spinach and poblano peppers, fried, then simmered in Mike's Curry Love yellow thai sauce. I should have taken a picture.

It’s a "crisis" when immigrants "take jobs away", but "innovation" when machines do. Funny.

I hope you're right... the thing about the Bill of Rights (or the Constitution for that matter) is, we give them the power they have by trusting the govt. to abide by them. If the govt. doesn't do that, what then?

I saw that comment in the chat too... had a chuckle and wondered if the commenter was joking.

I think yes, they like to see themselves as the people who are maintaining the decorum of the political milieu, and maybe don't believe Rs are inherently despicable, e.g. it's playacting. But I really do think they underestimate how far around the bend towards totalitarianism Rs have gone.

The great thing about this hearing is how she visibly bristles at having to answer questions or be accountable for anything. I know it's on par for Rs but she really manages to look aristocratic about it.

Ah, finally understanding this airs at 9am EDT.

Been thinking about how he would declare martial law, I know he'd love to do it. Thought it would be war with Venezuela but using resistance to ICE makes more sense at this point

I'm an independent but really liberal. The biggest problem I have with Dems is their undying faith that they're on a level playing field and that their opposition has principles and can be trusted
