snippet from ellipsus: San tails the line, his usual habit. When he gets to Hongjoong, a pregnant pause sits between them in the place of a greeting. San's eyes rove over his face like he's never seen Hongjoong before. "Um," Hongjoong says, bewildered. "Good evening." Behind him, Wooyoung's cough sounds infuriatingly like a laugh. "Hello," San says. He's suddenly very interested in the empty bottom of his bowl. "Your hair…." Hongjoong reaches up toward his ear reflexively to push it back, but his hand misses. "Oh, yes. I. It was a little difficult to deal with out here. And I —" "Do you like it?" Wooyoung asks, interrupting whatever it was Hongjoong was saying for an entirely new, distracting tendril of thought. San is looking up at him again, eyes warm. "Yes. I think it suits you."

jongho as an outsider who doesnt act on his desire & to whom morality makes no argument in his situation. yunho as a tortured mess who hates himself for what he's doing but who is, at his core, selfish, afraid, & acts accordingly. seonghwa who looks at both impassively, feeds the pigeons crumbs

He looks peaceful, the crease between his brows smoothed out, the quirk of his lips missing. Entranced, Yunho extends his fingers to the planes of Wooyoung's dormant face, making contact with the dot beneath his eye first, then, gingerly, with the one on his lower lip. Growing up religious schooled him in worship, so he traces the line between temple and lip before catching himself, father and son abandoned in an unfulfilled cross on his lover's face.
