Yeah totally different things. It’s good to expose kids to different beliefs and traditions, but you have to do it in a “people believe different things and it’s okay” kind of way. My brother keeps kosher, his kids know we don’t. We all just say that everyone chooses and it’s okay.

Right? And if she’s that concerned, just casually ask her son if they have thought about how to navigate the fact that his side has traditions the kid will be exposed to. I am he and DIL have had convos, and if not, they should. It doesn’t require a confrontation & declaration from mom.

It's weird this woman is making this a problem for a baby when there has been no boundary or other directive from her DIL about the issue. Like, just do your thing - share your traditions as the kid gets older, and if something is said, deal with it then?

Same goes for families with little ones. A lack of noise-proofing also leads to harassment & eviction of families with young children in violation of fair housing laws. 2/2

Noise-proofing is a fair housing issue. I know that sounds weird, but noise sensitivity can make multifamily housing inaccessible to many. Then there are people whose disabilities can cause a lot of noise. That noise often results in an eviction notice due to too many neighbor complaints. 1/2
