Same thoughts here. I drove my 2nd gen Prius for 18 years before I finally traded it in. Never gave me a day of trouble. Ultra cheap to maintain, ultra reliable. Beautiful little machine.

And yes, it nails the banality of evil, the pitilessness of oppressive power, the use of cruelty to quell dissent, the randomness with which someone can be swept away forever, the crushing stupidity of it all. It’s chillingly real.
