Students love rereading familiar stories! Could one book launch multiple math lessons? Ten on a Twig by Lo Cole works for counting backward from 10, 1 fewer, minus 1, or combinations that make 10. When you find a good book, revisit the context for more lessons! @nctm.org @mathedleaders.bsky.social

Students compare fractions with denominators of 10 & 100. In this Navigating Numeracy center, Ss spin for a tenth fraction, model it, cover an equivalent hundredth fraction, & justify their choice. Consider how much talk, modeling, & reasoning is happening! www.hand2mind.com/navigating-numeracy
