Obviously we're not electoralists, but saddening to see Your Party's MPs stuffing up their project, especially when it had so much enthusiasm at grassroots level. Hope everyone involved in the various nascent local branches don't get discouraged - there's still loads that can and should be done!

Ahead of our first Last Sunday film showing (on Sunday), as the Quakers didn't have a sound system we've scrounged one together and donated it for anybody to use 🎵.
Matewan is showing 7pm, free entry with discussion (and possibly cake) afterwards. It's a story of epic union struggle.

Anglian Water often gets let off by critics for not being as financially dysfunctional as Thames, but it's one of the smallest water companies in Britain, how is it topping the sewage scumbags list?

With proscription set to be waved through the Lords, this is officially the last chance to publicly state that banning even supportive words for a non-violent direct action group is among the lowest, most anti-democratic decisions about a domestic political issue ever taken by a Labour government.

We screened To Kill A War Machine last night and it's excellent! Thoroughly recommended for anyone wanting to know about the campaign against Israeli arms firm Elbit from Palestine Action's perspective rather than filtered through the mainstream media smear machine.

💗 Bob Vylan, free speech ain't just for when you like it folks. On a similar note, our showing of To Kill A War Machine - soon to face a ban if Yvette Cooper gets her way - is tonight! Hope to see you 6.45pm at the Quaker Meeting House, Ipswich.

Don't miss this tomorrow, there's every chance that by Wednesday it'll be banned alongside Palestine Action, because there *is* a two-tier justice system, and it's aimed at people trying to disrupt the UK's participation in ethnic cleansing. #Ipswich

Can't think of a better subject for our first public event than dissenting over a State ban on non-violent direct action by Palestine Action using "anti-terror" laws. This Sunday, 6.45pm at the Quaker House in Ipswich we'll be screening To Kill a War Machine.

A recommended read for anyone thinking that Palestine Action's throwing of paint in protest against genocide is too much ("terrorism"? Really?) might be Riotous Assemblies by Paul Muskett, particularly the response of Suffolk's poor to 18th century aristocrats' newfound enthusiasm for workhouses.

It's been a while since the last anarchist group was formally knocking about round in Ipswich, this lovely beermat print was from the 2000s iteration! A time in which the East Anglian Social Forum brought together groups from four counties to in an effort to push ideas from the World Social Forum.

Starting off with a nice pic of this year's Mayday march through Ipswich to the annual festival. Great turnout showing solidarity with Palestinians under siege, for LGBT+ rights, and against disability cuts!
