In demand as an orchestral trainer, Matt has taught conducting at the Guildhall, and is sought after for his realisations of modern music, and for leading complex musical projects. Matt was assistant to composer Geoffrey Burgon, recording with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, and the BAFTA award-winning soundtrack - Longitude - with the Philharmonia Orchestra.
