In a word pusillanimous. I’m sure we’d be more confident as a nation if it wasn’t for so-called “patriots” constantly putting our country down. In the EU we had a pivotal position- world gateway into and out of Europe. All blown away by lies and deception. Such a shame.

That thought does cross my mind, regularly, which is why I would like a full review of large contracts placed with overseas companies.
The use of offshore banking where money laundering and bribe payments etc is suspected, must be made illegal.

I don’t know a lot about Palantir apart from them being a commercial software developer providing programming services. I would hope confidentiality clauses are embedded into any contract the government awards. If these are broken then do a Trump and sue their arses off..

It seems as though people at both ends of the political spectrum are more than happy to accept what they hear from outspoken figureheads promising everything they wish for. The fact these promises are unlikely to be realised if asked to be delivered, doesn’t appear to matter in
