I’m in one of these most blue areas in the south and I’m hoping they do put ice or something at my polls my friends neighbors and family are going strapped with body armor. We will enforce the constitution if necessary.

I interpret it as a technology agnostic empowerment clause, and believe it should be amended to include VPN’s, smart phones, or other recording/broadcasting devices. Guns were just the most advanced “arms” an individual could wield at the time.

Documentation didn’t protect either of them though, it helped prosecute them in the court of public opinion, which even that is questionable because of party lines and official lies. I bet they would have got off him had there been dozens of armed citizens surrounding them.

I meant they are both individually not as effective. Sure take the one man out, but you’ll probably need a gun to do so and 100 with against 100 without has a predictable outcome. Not everyone needs to wield them but the option has to be there so long as those who mean to oppress wield them.

My philosophy of the 2A holds individual access/ownership as central to collective action. One man with 100 guns is as effective against a violent tyrant as 100 men with no guns.

Depends on the situation. Am I commuting to work and there is a checkpoint checking drivers licenses, I probably won’t mention it and keep my head down. Trying to kidnap my coworkers or clients? I like to think I’d die that day.
