Haven't put this on in at least a decade. The most prized possession in my music collection: an OG Mushroom UK pressing from 98.

What changed in the last 9 months, Nick?

Reunited these long lost twins after finding each at two different shops.

Just checking in on this r/TNA thread from last week. There was so much hype for this totally real wrestling promotion that has real fans and isn't just a WWE Ghost Kitchen. 🤼

The Powerage of the Brian Johnson era. One of my best cassette finds yet.

Okay fine I may have bought this too.

The whole point of this year was to not buy new music (including newer reissues). Trying to stick to mainly cassettes but always happy when I find fun used vinyl.

But how was I gonna pass up grabbing this at my record shop?

And the current shoebox of regular rotation.

I've had CD, Vinyl, cassettes, iTunes, and all the bullshit streamers. Nothing organizes cooler than cassette. Behold, the first storage box of the new collection. Yes, a second box has already begun.

What are your favorite "for the sickos" albums? Not the most commercially successful but the ones the real sickos love. That's the vibe I want for my budding tape collection.

For example, Garbage is my favorite band, self-titled and V2.0 are the hits, but beautifulgarbage is for the sickos.

This cassette is the same age I am. Its last known location before finding its way to me was a record store in Tulsa. Think of the hands it's been in, the stereos it's played through, the Miller Genuine Drafts consumed while it played.

Last year's hobby was upgrading my movie collection. This year's hobby is downgrading my music collection.

He's not though! This is the entirety of his Wikipedia entry on his career! Even his "controversies" page doesn't have a real controversy after 2010!

Remember when a glorified mall cop emptied his clip into Sam DuBose at a traffic stop and he got a quarter of a million dollars for it? Don't miss the "breaking news" juxtaposition in this screenshot.

Plugged my new lil tape deck into the indestructible Bluetooth speaker. I'll be reporting pros to this format as I realize them.

1. a natural endpoint to remind myself to stop smoking weed and eat food. 5 hour playlists are dangerous.

It begins. I mean, I found the Garbage tape at my local record shop and it was just chillin there waiting for me to find it. I consider Garbage a definitive CD band and I've put a lot of their songs on mixtapes, but I've never heard this album in full on cassette.
