And I know I had heard about elitism in the cosplay community, but had never witnessed it. Like I couldn't fathom how that dynamic would work with everyone excited to dress up as their faves. And that's definitely not why I cosplay, I truly do just wanna make friends with similar interests.

And from my perspective I always saw cosplay contests/competitions as like a form of peer review. Like someone who has taken this class before who checking my work vibes. BUT I have been informed that isn't the case, somehow the judges are not my peers,but above me somehow.

My main reason for never really wanting to compete in cosplay competitions is literally how fucking long they are. And like I lose basically a whole day or more at a con for em. And the cosplayers competing are super chill, but for me its not worth it. Like I can talk shop with anyone.

how do ppl feel when ppl you follow om youtube or insta like change their content? Not entirely off what they used to do, like a video like before here and there, do you just drop em?

I'd never recommend vending at Game On Expo. It's wild. I bet it's great as an attendees, but yeah there's now ay 1000 vendors will make back table. In a heavy autograph con. Cuz ppl wait in line for 3 hrs and spend money there, but none of that goes into paying for the con. So the vendors pay.

I think it's the logic that they have vendors/artist alley cushioning the price of the venue rental and the guest appearances. So they oversaturate the market, let resellers in and the like, hurting local/out of state artists ability to make money IT HAS over 1000 vendors, that's ridiculous

So my biggest takeaway is companies should make it easier to transfer accounts between servers, i know it's a ton more work, but like possibly future thoughts
