V. Putin is a little Hitler. He is attacking Ukraine in a mad atfempt to restore the Soviet Empire.

He must be stopped before he goes any further - and before the lunatic Trump gets back into power!

I like the introductions that people are doing here. I’m Jack. Published author of 8 cookery books. Anti-poverty campaigner. Voracious reader of crime/legal thrillers. Tentatively just started writing one, but don’t tell anyone. Disabled, neurodivergent, queer, non-binary, sober one day at a time.

(This isn’t a career change; I’m just using it as a kind of catharsis. I’ve spent a decade writing to commission, to briefs, and for other people, and I just want to write for the love of it for a while.)

One of the best and worst things about tentatively plotting out a crime/murder mystery/police procedural novel is finding myself saying aloud on the bus things like ‘I wonder if rats can chew through bone’ and ‘oh burn the body on the BOAT, that’s a GREAT idea’

3 1/2 years ago I went from the darkest depths of rotting in addiction and alcoholism, to being gently loved back to life and health by complete strangers and new friends in recovery.

And it’s just occurred to me that that’s EXACTLY what BlueSky feels like. Pull up a chair. Have a biscuit. Heal.

In case you missed it, a fun story about a genuine absolute nutter.
Just for fun, let me tell you about somebody you've probably never heard of, but who was once one of the most famous people in England, a national hero, a disgraced fraudster, and an astonishingly accomplished piratical maniac.

He led quite a life. (1/53)
