It was awesome to see so many patriots, and hear so many honks in Issa’s blood red district!

Temecula turned out! Lots of honks too :)

500+ in Temecula, Ca; Congressman Darrel Issa’s red district.

Too bad Issa is too chicken to meet with his constituents to hear our message directly.

Another one straight from Orban’s playbook: “it's a system that's designed to enrich a clique of elites to take public assets and put them in private pockets while talking about standing up for conservative values.”

It’s is so frustrating and disheartening to have neighbors’ cats invade your yard when you’ve dedicated it to wildlife habitat. Sorry to hear you’ve been sick too!

I use aquafaba (water from cooking chick peas) in all my baked goods. Tried it one time when I didn’t have eggs and found my challah was lighter and fluffier with aquafaba!

It’s definitely in bad shape. If you can get it to a wildlife rehabber they can help it. This is what a healthy bobcat looks like:

Looks like it has mange, unfortunately, a side effect of secondary rat poison and a common threat to bobcats. Not only are they not a threat to humans, but like most things, we are the biggest threat.

I only just learned about Tallamy/HNP in the last couple years but have been gardening with Ca native plants for 20+ years. Haven’t looked too closely at his specific recs, but I think it’s a great concept. My favorite plants are based on what I can find in NP nurseries vs what survives in my yard.

I’m in Mediterranean Ca, but pretty far south (San Diego county) so only a few of the suggestions are native here. Coast Live Oak is the only tree on the list I’ve planted and usually the Scrub Jays have better success than I do!

Erigerons are rock stars! I recently learned from Doug Tallamy on an episode of Golden State Naturalist that they are also keystone species.
