I remember meeting Gyalo Thondup in Ottawa. As older brother to the @dalailama.bsky.social he reached out to Indigenous leaders in this country and found common ground with their struggle for land and culture.

Amazing news today that Sherap Therchin, Director of the Canada Tibet Committee, has received the King Charles 111 Coronation Medal for his dedication to human rights and the struggle for freedom in #Tibet.
