Everyone I know from the Palisades - ok not everyone but a lot - is furious and looking for someone to blame. I'm not saying I agree with him, but agreeing with your second comment. Love them, but those folks are not thinking logically right now. And finding the arsonist started their clock over.

Saw a good explanation which basically said he was rich and famous so he matters more to them than average victims including MN reps, school kids, etc.

If he only knows about the skipping because of the shooting, than that’s messed up to even think he had the option to punish. Maybe trust your kid. Did your friend ever skip class for a hangover? Look at the grades, don’t micro manage.
