Friends who live in CD7: please vote for our friend @aftynbehn.bsky.social Earlier this year, Aftyn came to Sumner County as part of our town hall when our Town representatives refused to participate - She is a fighter and we NEED her in Congress.

Feed kids. Fix roads. Fund hospitals. Vote Aftyn!

We’re feeling angry about a lot of things today, but THIS is something to celebrate. 🎉

Love is love. Thankful that it will stay that way.

When the government fails you, it’s time to turn to mutual aid. With SNAP benefits not going out next month, it’s time to step up and help.

Over the next month and a half, the Sumner Dems will be collecting food for both Feed Sumner and Shalom Zone. We are requesting non-perishable food items. 1/3

Indivisible Sumner said exactly what we feel. At approximately 12:30 AM this morning, the Sumner County Commission voted to appoint right-wing influencer Riley Gaines to the Sumner County library board.

Gaines was not present at the meeting and her sole library experience includes terrorizing… 1/2

We KNOW how much goes into pulling things together and it was an honor to support him.

Folks, take this energy and get involved! If you’re a Dem or an Independent who aligns with us, COME JOIN US. If you’re a Republican who is tired of Trump’s shit, it’s time for you to take your party back.

What a day! ❌👑🇺🇸

With approximately 600 people in attendance, No Kings Gallatin was an incredible time of community, encouragement, and resistance.

We’re especially proud of Sumner County’s newest organizer for the work he put in this week….

🚨 It’s back FOR A THIRD TIME!

Joanna is trying to bring this unconstitutional policy back one more time before she’s no longer on the library board. This time, she’s even coordinating with multiple churches to inundate the meeting with supporters who don’t actually understand the policy. 1/3

We had a wonderful time supporting the Sumner NAACP chapter at their annual dinner!

When organizations talk about the importance of voting, regardless of who you’re voting for, you know that they stand for good things!

Congratulations to President Rutledge and his team on a job well done!

On the 24th anniversary of 9/11 we call for unity, not division.

The myth of post-9/11 unity ignores how our Black and brown neighbors endured suspicion, hatred and violence.

Yesterday’s tragedies remind us: division is a choice, but so is unity — and true community is the strongest resistance.

On this Labor Day, thank a union.

From workers’ safety to weekends off to 40-hour work weeks to the end of child labor and beyond, unions have been fighting to protect the people.

In TN, much of the power of collective-bargaining has been stripped away from the people by our legislators.

The SCDP have officially called for Democratic primaries in the 2026 election!

We hear often that there’s no point in pulling a Democratic primary ballot if we don’t have Democratic candidates to vote for, but did you know the option of even having a primary relies on someone calling for it?

This supercut from Wednesdays library board meeting is what you get when your elected officials don’t represent you.

Only 14% of registered voters voted in the last county commission election. This is what happens when you don’t vote.

Want to help? Head to sumnerdems.org and get involved!
