🌈 Woke up to see this & it just struck me as a whimsical, open invitation to play- like a theater curtain or enchanted portal.
I’d set up a sensory fort the night b4 w/rainbow silks & blocks but straightened up b4 bed & clipped up the playsilks. So nice to see in the morning light ☀️

🏝️ The Sunbean Beach Resort! ☀️ Everyone has a place here. The worker has purpse, the friends at the bar enjoy fancy drinks, the granddaughters get to experience the beach for the first time with their grandmother, and the lone one contentedly works on her manuscript while savoring a warm 🥖 w/ butter.

Elowen, the smallest fairy, recently moved into the forest and has opted to open a small book shop to share her love of stories and get to know her neighbors. They’re having a sale today, two books for one acorn.

Childlike play is not immature, regressive or avoidant. It’s how I regulate myself, find glimpses of joy, and come to understand myself through symbolism, storytelling, and reduced self defenses. Play is Magic 🍄 🌿 🦋 📙
