In fog
beneath
lamp light
in an old shed
I'd sit to write
even in winter
I didn't see
the ghostly face
above
my right shoulder
until the photo
resurfaced
years later
I miss
that old shed
vanquished
beyond bleak
biting cold

seconds
eyesight
struggling
in and out
of gloom
last sips
cold yet warm
the reverse
of her heart
always pounding
hot shudders
another breeze
downpour
another...
always another
door wide open
she always did
let in the ghosts
of season's memory
