Chorus 10speed is the best road group I have ever been able to afford. Amazing stuff. Centaur too, although that bike had Chorus levers from the start which is 90% of the shift quality game imo

Thank you for your readineservice.

Ok but the only reason you could execute moves was from doing all those pushups right?

was there a long-cage, triple version of the centaur derailleur? i thought 28 t was the limit across the board on their normal derailleurs. (of course you can always stretch a cog or two, depending on the bike)

centaur 10 derailleurs and cranks were indistinguishable from chorus 10 ime. really good price/service bargain. i got spec'd with chorus levers so i don't know about that comparison.

real money, fewer life commitments. that's the time to load up your bike garage.

The demand for these ended at 10 speed, as far as I can tell. 11sp was common spacing and hits a sweet spot for older bike rehab, ime. Pity, because campy 10 speed was the absolute pinnacle of evolution. if you ignore the gear limitations, anyway. although a drop link might help with that.

Maybe I need to get back on the velodrome.

I sorta of hanker for a steel pipe *horizontal fucking top tube* proper 74deg angles roadie with steel fork, disc brake capability and modern tire clearance. And of course a quill stem.

Tire width and pressure has changed. Soooooo much.

Racer me would have laughed at the fat and slow looking rubber on my current road bike.

I will never understand this current mania for the freehub equivalent of aftermarket loud car mufflers. All the noise and no performance gain.

Beautiful!

Lol

How did that White hub work for you? I had an early Gen MTB hub that had a massive design flaw. Grub screw for the bearing preload was totally inadequate

Looks like a blast to own.
