The attacks were evil, as were the Hamas attacks. But, the causes of radicalisation and terrorism are complex. Old men in Israel and the broader Middle East have stirred up hatred through killing. Hamas leadership and the Netanyahu cabinet need to face criminal trials for war crime and be shunned.
