One of the weirdest moments of my life.
I wanted to pose with a funny face next to John Humphreys' Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee distorted portrait, but a passing woman who happened to look up the very second the camera shutter opened, did a much better job!

Devastated about the BBC being found to have edited DT's speech to create disinformation. This is major. I was such a BBC advocate. Still am, but this is a total catastrophe. We desperately need impartial news, desperately, but now there is no institution to trust. Gutted. 😭

Apparently Russia attacks the UK every day in a cyberwar. Why? Why do they do that? Why don't they not bother and just concern themselves with Russian business in Russia? Why bother to actively go out of their way to cause other far-away communities harm? It's so weird.

Who watches GCSE revision videos? Children. 15 & 16 yr old kids. Why do they have to have porn shoved in their faces when they're trying to study? It's disgusting & unfair. This is NOT APPROPRIATE. It shouldn't be so available & coercive. Would gambling/smoking ads be allowed in a similar context?

This appears alongside almost every GCSE revision video. Shamefully exploitative and unfair. The porn industry needs to leave our kids alone.

Trump's just come to the realisation that Putin is "tapping him along." WELL DUH!!! The entire world and their seven year old kids knew this. How can a president be this stupid??

(1/3) It needs repeating: in 1994, Ukraine was persuaded to give up its nuclear weapons to Russia in return for the US, the UK, and Russia guaranteeing Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

Listening to Hugh Fernly-Whittingstall on #Radio4 this morning, I agree with his points about animal welfare. I would not knowingly buy any animal product that wasn't genuinely free-range, and yes I'd actually like a video above supermarket shelves to show how the animals, including fish, are kept.

We’re in a new Gilded Age - which sounds great, but the Robber Barons are back.
And this time, they’re more selfish than ever, as Prof Tobias Jung, St Andrews University, writes:

Andrew Carnegie and the 19th-century ‘robber barons’ have lessons for today’s oligarchs about the responsibilities of wealth
The 19th-century industrialists were called ‘robber barons’ – but they did more to improve society than many of today’s super-rich.
