✨Writer of overly epic epic fantasy where the characters won't shut up & the word count doesn't matter! (Until I try to publish)
EDS. Lyme. Ace/Aro. They
Calamity's Leftovers is my newest of the 3 and only has character sketches of the nonhuman characters.

This is definitely the oddball of the three. It also has autistic, ADHD, trans, gay and disabled main characters.

Here are sketches of covers for book 1 and 2 of Perhaps on a Different Plane. Book 1 is A Less Ordinary Evil, book 2's title is still under development.

Aro/ace main character.

I'm planning to publish this one 1st & it could really use some skilled eyes.

Here are some sketches of various quality to hopefully get across the vibes a little better.

I was fiddling with this sketch of the cover of book 1 of When Stars Speak, The Many Times Dead Soldier, before I realized there's no room for the title 😅. Still gives the general atmosphere.

Tinorkk reproduce less frequently than humans, & for the most part age slower. Families are usually small, unless they're a pack forming Tinorkk like werewolves who are all about family. Centuries of the Agency's propaganda has made most Tinorkk distrust other species-

Tinorkk Towns are subterranean, but not on purpose. They were forced into a treaty with humans & a loophole involving trap streets allows them to build, but only downwards. They've mostly lost access to the sky. Keeping stories of their constellations alive is a battle.

My poodle LOVES laser pointers to the extreme that we have to ration them b/c she'll become obsessed &want nothing else. Our other dog doesn't see it or care so she gets mad at him for interfering with her dot buddy. She likes to run back &forth beside it.

So, could be worse. Cat could be HUGE.😆

I guess technically not a symbiote because their hosts are dead, but Kashim is an energy being who inhabits/puppets bones to interact with the world. Their latest set belonged to a dear halfling friend who left his skeleton to Kushim in his will. Kushim is many centuries old.

Tinorkk, depending on their species, all have an aptitude for different types of magic. But anyone, even humans if they learn how, can activate sigils. Healing sigils are expensive. Powerful ones are accepted as first month's rent and security deposit. Healing potions are-

It's an urban fantasy in this world, so our technology plus some mixed with magic. Vincent is the main experimenter when it comes to combining the two, but The Agency will use magic with technology to protect the world, despite the fact that they're protecting it from magic.

Vincent, the Big Bad & human boogieman to the Tinorkk, is a magic user &scientist, mixing them in disturbing &effective ways. He's discovered how to use various forms of Ichor to change humans & Tinorkk into supersoldiers he controls. He just discovered how to make an Oracle.

This is up for debate among the populace. For one, it's urban fantasy, so you get the usual theological debates. There's an idea that Magic as an entity meddled to create Tinorkk, but in a "why would I need 3 legs?", "I dunno, take it up with Itself", irreverent sort of way.

Drops of Gold is an urban fantasy mostly taking place in the magical hidden part of the world. Much of it is subterranean, so even the paywalled science is inaccessible as internet access is rare. The nonhuman community (Tinorkk) rely on magic. Science and magic are said not-

I have watered all my plants today, a Herculean effort considering the size of my indoor jungle & chronic low energy. The lemon is throwing its usual spider mite fit & the guava is dropping leaves like it's its job.

But the geraniums are blooming. Some are 5 years old & bloom all winter inside.

A great deal of adding butter & cream to get to the right chewy consistency later I throw in vanilla & salt for good measure. Then I dump the whole mess on some pecans, still not completely sure it's not just a burnt mess. The next day I temper Ghirardelli dark chocolate & pour it on top with salt.

For like half an hour. Fairly high heat, I'm stirring like crazy, should have been done over an hour ago. It finally starts to melt...to the consistency of peanut butter.

3rd problem: it will absolutely not get up to hard crack stage but is obviously trying to burn. When dripped onto a cold saucer-

-slices of fresh ginger to up the flavor, then when that doesn't quite do it, some cloves and cinnamon sticks. Flavor is still a little lackluster so I add molasses. Better.

2nd problem: it gets weird. Instead of the sugar water turning into a syrup it...turns back into sugar. And refuses to melt.

Btw for those suggesting cookies, I made chocolate chip & gingersnap & they came out great. The gingersnap were slightly more crumbly but the chocolate chip seem identical. I knew bread might be weird but I needed it for the specific dish.

Thanks for the resources. I've shown my friend the thread.

Big success! The texture of the crostini was a little different but it held together well, even with avocado and smoked salmon piled on top. The smoked olive oil on the crostini kept it from being too dry. It certainly didn't have the chew of a gluten crostini, but quite tasty.

One of the things you learn after decades of crafting & cooking is if you ever think "this idea seems so good and obvious, I don't know why no one ever tried it before!" you are about to find out why no one ever tried it before.😆

This is the GF ciabatta attempt. It'll hopefully still make toast.

Please mock this with me, I am so tired of people.

Caring about things is cringe! Trying for a better world is a waste, just get yours before we boil! Wanting a better society is for hypocrites! Explaining downsides sounds like an evil villain manifesto!

Think I'll get off the internet for a bit.

Someone did this meme exactly, I've never seen it happen in the wild. Flat out told me if I hate AI but wasn't a hypocrite I'd be living in a yurt spinning my own cotton! We'll see if the reply gets me thrown out of the group. Facebook makes this place look so sane.

Alright, did a little studying and gave the coloring another go. I think it's better but still not where I want it. I'll probably try an action pose next. I'm having a hard time finding references who don't look like models.

Today and yesterday I spent all day hurrying to get the things I needed to do done so I could do the stuff I wanted to do, but by the time I was done with chores I'd run out of day. Not my favorite. At least I got some apple cake and banana bread out of it.
