@espnbillc.bsky.social my Cal fan vote for Cal journeyman of the year isn't Austin (though he's deserving). It's JKS, simply for having been a part of two programs while still being considered a true freshman.

If only one group of 5 team had gotten in, the CFP would be more reasonable. This could have largely been ensured by requiring conference title games to feature the two highest CFP ranked teams, not whatever led to Duke-UVa

When Florida State starts winning again and they work with Clemson and ND to kill the ACC, can Cal PLEASE join the Big 12 this time?
December 8, 2025 at 6:27 PM
What happened to Notre Dame legitimately shows the CFP rankings are a "farse," but not participating in any bowl game ends what sympathy I have for them.

As a Cal fan still pissed about getting screwed out of a Rose Bowl in 2004, I'd have been outraged if they hadn't gone to the Holiday Bowl.

“If you think about the power of compounding and what these accounts are likely to become over 10, 20, 30 years, that’s super significant,” Dell said.

Sure, let's think of what $250 will be worth after 30 years. If do 7% on average, you'll have about $2,000 after 30 years.

I was mostly for Tosh to coach Cal, but the endorsement from DeSean Jackson, who spent his entire pro career rejecting his relationship to Cal, doesn't help him along in this fan's book.

I buy Duke over Pitt, SMU & Ga Tech, but no way they deserve the ACC title game over Miami (rules notwithstanding). That and the SEC title game situation are two of many wounds on modern college football. I miss the bowl era. Our obsession with tournament style sports killed what made it special.

I'd like to know what Kiffin's LSU buyout will be (there's no way he agreed to a low buyout if LSU fires him), and what the Louisiana governor, who ran his mouth about no buyouts while fellating Trump in the same sentence, has to say about it.
Kiffin takes LSU job, won't finish year with Rebels
Lane Kiffin is the new coach at LSU, and he will not continue with Ole Miss on its College Football Playoff run as the Rebels promoted Pete Golding to head coach.
