Agree 100%. I don’t create content, but I remember going to Twitter for accurate news, right from the source. It was excellent… but now the worst of the world is being heavily promoted by algorithms and bots. Forget just leaving X, maybe it’s time to cut their influence and just ban it.

This is adorable. Remember these times. My older teens/20s look forward to the annual tradition of bastardizing my Christmas sign every year. It’s the only decor that matters and is the favourite Christmas tradition. I swear we have other cultural traditions and I tried to instill them.

Because I have a medical requirement, my classroom gets an air filter. I’m thankful for it, our windows don’t even open.
Is the plague going around and causing record absences? Yes. What will we do about it? Not much - I don’t think we even report absences to public health anymore:(

Oh bummer. My husband ended up getting it from the sickly co-worker last week. Rough ride indeed, half his team is out - not even working from home, just out sick. I’m masking in my school (to avoid the rampant spray sneezes) and washing my hands until they bleed, crossing fingers it helps.

The govt defunds the system billions of dollars & increase class sizes… and then is shocked that test scores suck? What outcome were they expecting? Can someone smarter drive the boat now?

I don’t understand how anything where an investor who needs to make a profit is part of the equation makes anything cheaper, ever. And it doesn’t make things better for anyone other than the few who have big bags of money..

My 2 cents from inside a classroom: the kids are so sick. For the past 2 months, so much coughing, sneezing, low energy, headaches, it never ends. Air quality also not great (I’ve checked). Are there other issues? Sure… but being sick and tired all the time makes them worse.

I’m a teacher. I can’t stand this. 20% of what AI spits out is questionable at best or bullshit at worst. Can we stop forcing this down everyone’s throats? It’s not efficient or value added when it’s crap. We need a literate population, this is going in the wrong direction.
