Hi Deputy Commissioner Sheppard- I’m reaching out regarding the killing of 17-year-old Yeremi Colino on Thursday night in lower Manhattan. Initial reports said that he and his friend were brutally stabbed by three male suspects after the men asked if the teenagers spoke English and they said no. Can you share the ethnicity of the suspects? Have they been caught? What’s the status of the other teenager who was stabbed? Is this being investigated as a hate crime? And has the department’s focus on finding the killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson diverted resources from this investigation? Thanks,

yeremi colino, a teenager stabbed to death in NYC last night by a group of men after he told them he didn’t speak english, deserves as much attention as the healthcare CEO, if not more. let’s give it to him. www.amny.com/new-york/man...
