#histscalemodels crew…how often, if ever, have you given up on a build?I’m really struggling with this one. Fiddly, bad fitment and poor instructions make it feel like a battle. Not sure I can justify it this when hobby time is so precious and limited.

After a tough few weeks I've finally found time to do some modelling. Slowly coming together - despite an absolute struggle with some terrible instructions lol. Hopefully get it finished in time. #histscalemodels

Not to be a snob but you can really tell the difference in the simple things when going from Tamiya to a Revell model. Tamiya instructions were clear, the sprues were much cleaner and had a better numbering system. Revell not bad just there are differences. In this model at least #histscalemodels

Well, it's almost done. Needs a tiny bit here and there and a matte varnish but here it is. I think this is my best model so far. Learnt a lot. Improved a lot. Screwed up a lot. Will take what I learnt and use it on #heaviesGB #histscalemodels

First time working with oil paint. I'm in love! Today was a bit of weathering, panel lining and the famous Skyraider exhaust marks. Edging closer to being able to start #heaviesGB #histscalemodels

Skyraider is getting pimped out with some decals. Still a way to go - not even started weathering properly yet but gave me a boost to see it taking shape once the decals went on.
Please don't tell me if the decals are historically wrong. I went for rule of cool on this one. #histscalemodels

Really enjoyed Cyclades. I really wasn't in the mood for a big complex game but a friend wanted to try it. Turns out it's a pretty simple game. Lots of fun. Weirdly reminded me of Arcs. Highly recommend and would definitely play again. #boardgames

#HeaviesGB challenge has given me a bit of energy to get the Skyraider done. Ageing today. More layers to add to tone down the silver but getting their. Aiming to finish by start of September . #histscalemodels

The Skyraider finally primed. So glad I scribed the panel lines. Adds a lot more depth (pun intended). Added a few cables into the wheel well too #histscalemodels

Stuck in the house after a knee operation. Finally got to properly play Crowns and Cutthroats by @permagringames.bsky.social. So fast, simple and fun. A great little game for a quick fix, a little game between big games and for families etc. Grab it and support indie game devs.

2nd year to Kelburn Garden Party festival - weather was pretty rubbish for the first couple of days (West coast Scotland lol) but this continues to be the best festival ever. Amazing vibes, great music, lots of kids activities, stunning venue. So so good. #music #festival #scotland

Tiny bit more work on the Skyraider today. Deepened the lines which took some work but will pay dividends in the future I hope. Now onto the motor - think I'm going to add some new cables etc. #histscalemodel

Honestly....don't know. Currently going with the classic grey/cream colour scheme but the temptation is to do the orange scheme. Just not sure I can get the orange to pop.might need to try a lacquer paint (will be a first)
