The mountain is apparently based on a specific Swiss mountain but I don't recall the name of which one.

I don't remember where I head this, but I recall hearing it was because Lager is a German style of beer and because of pre-WW2 tensions with Germany they didn't want customers to have a negative impression of the beer and chose a name and visuals more reminiscent of the Swiss Alpes.
