I used to be a DSL reports regular back when I had DSL and used it to connect with other poor Frontier users and techs.

I guess I just assumed it was an untaken design optimization keeping the two systems separate.
Like, in theory if the HV system was always active there could just be a big DC-DC converter and capacitor bank.

I get why they have a 12v system, it just seems like if you have a system on board than can feed enough power to run all the 12v accessories while also charging a battery, what’s the point of an additional component that can fail?
