A handmade version of the book cover from Denton, Texas! I'm really grateful for this chance to talk about my new book in one of the key places in the story, with people who taught me some essential lessons on working for justice over generations.

Newly published: In his review of Matan Kaminer's 2024 book on the Thai farmworkers toiling on Israeli vegetable farms, Paul Kohlbry suggests that the book has much to teach us "about the workings of settler colonialism and capitalist domination in the world today." @stanfordpress.bsky.social

3a. BTW, if you *would* consider moving from elsewhere, the cover letter is a great place to make that clear!

Best of luck-

3. Pay attention to location: our position is a hybrid position, but that means M-Th in our Redwood City office, with Fridays remote. Don't apply if you're not planning on moving from elsewhere.

2a. Make sure to include the *correct* cover letter. No matter how compelling a case you can make for your candidacy, you don't really do yourself any favors if the letter you attach is addressed to a the wrong company/department/etc.

2. Include a cover letter. Our posting explicitly asks for one, but it's a good practice anyway. In the age of push-button, mass-application tools, a good cover letter can really make your application stand out.

1. California (like some other states) requires that we include the salary range; pay attention to it! If it doesn't meet your minimum expectations or needs, rather than apply, search for something that does.
