woh random Drakan screenshot.

THAT was a foundational game for me - assumed I was the only person that thought about it!

I wonder if I can run Darkened Skye now 😅

I used to watch this video regularly with my wife - who was a fan - over a decade ago.

This is really cool!

I’ve always thought it would be cool to implement a range of biomedical visualization tools (ex. wrappers for VTK/ITK) in Unreal Engine. Blender may actually be the way to go since it’s more accessible.

That’s a thing? Anytime I click I feel scammed. It’s either (1) bad narration of someone else’s video or (2) some un-dated clip from like 10 years ago sold as something recent.

The most frustrating thing on YouTube is my inability to flat-out block a channel that's like "DRACULA 2026 TRAILER: Keanu Reeves, Natalie Portman, Elizabeth Taylor"

Why would I *ever* want this to come up in a search?!?

Urban and Thirlby were perfect.

I always tell people that Anderson is the “main character” and Dredd is the “setting”.

I think it was somebody on CORE that made the joke that independent developers want to make money, but corporate studios want to make ALL the money.

I just can’t imagine thinking “what gamers want is another app that lets them not actually own software.”

I heard a joke once about how indy developers want to make money but AAA studios want to make *all* the money.

I wonder if private companies in the gaming space can simply afford to make better products because they don’t have shareholders breathing down their necks forcing them to make crap.

It's strange - I feel like there are things we can do to improve quality of life for the elderly, and that machine learning can play a role.

But what I've seen so far seems objectively worse than "sitting around watching TV all the time"

My life got a lot easier since I figured out how to optimize "holding down Attack while wielding torches"

My kids are mostly interested in watching me chat up people in the hot springs anyway...

I’ve heard that, but couldn’t find stats on accidents in the US vs EU vs UK. All the safety concerns seem to be pretty intent-driven (ex people sticking weird stuff in sockets).

I’d bet that Imperial units are WAY more dangerous 😅

Do you think they get some sort of buzz mocking their own religion?

I mean, there aren’t a lot of verses as cut-and-dry as Matthew 6:5-6.

Maybe they spend their time off-camera forcing camels through needles…

God I remember having to play memory-Tetris to get the drivers to fit on my Tandy.

Some poor saint at Radio Shack walked me through editing autoexec.bat and config.sys to make my first boot disk.

I decided to try CachyOS (it came up on Gamer’s Nexus) and it’s the most seamless install I’ve done. Seriously impressed with the strides Linux devs have made in terms of usability.

I can count my Windows requirements on one hand, and they’re pretty niche work-related things.

Unreal came out with MetaHuman Creator like 4 years ago and those tools seem objectively more useful.

Can you imagine Variety writing about how Siri, Princess of Cintra, is seeking representation in the film industry?

Maybe I'm missing something but this seems like some weird hype.

I once saw someone describe Bluey as a parenting instruction manual masquerading as a kid’s show.

There’s an entire aisle of custom old-school mechanical keyboards at MicroCenter that my kids camp in when I’m shopping.

I’m really surprised at the stuff that’s come back and in retrospect I shouldn’t be. White mechanical keyboards with bold clear letters are just so obviously better.

Literally reading this during the intermission at 90’s Mixtape concert in Houston rn

Never thought I’d feel nostalgic listening to Backstreet Boys…
