Before Christmas I had a wonderful evening at Wednesfield Seventh-day Adventist Church for the Christmas “Joy to the World” Carol Service.

The service and musicians helped to certainly bring Joy. Beautifully uplifting and such a lovely way to celebrate this very special time✨

Before their well-earned Christmas break, I was thrilled to be joined in Parliament by some amazing students from Willenhall E-ACT. We had a Q&A session where they put me through my paces, and they shared their priorities with me.

I hope that you have enjoyed a restful Christmas, and will be enjoying time with family.
My office staff will be at home with their families until the new year.

While the inbox is still being monitored, and emergencies will be responded to, reply times will be slower than usual until the New Year

It was wonderful to join a heartwarming Christingle Service at St Mary’s Church in Bushbury. Thank you Reverend Dr Ian Poole for your work, and warm welcome to your church.

It has been fantastic joining so many services across the constituency on the run up to Christmas.

I've been fighting in Wolverhampton, Walsall, and Westminster for fair funding for our Councils. Over the 14 years of Tory-rule, Councils were stripped to the bone, and this Labour Government is now making it their mission to put this money back where it belongs.

💥 Fair Funding for Wolverhampton & Walsall! 💥

For more than a decade, our councils have been short-changed with hundreds of millions lost while richer areas get more.

I’ve been visiting as many Christmas events around the constituency, with this one in The Hub at Ashmore Park being the latest!
It’s been fantastic to see the community come together for Christmas, and even better meeting the elves.

🚂 Direct Wrexham–Shrewsbury–Wolverhampton–London Rail Bid Resubmitted.

Wrexham, Shropshire and Midlands Railway (WSMR) has resubmitted its bid for a new service between Wrexham and London Euston via Wolverhampton — and this is potentially fantastic news for our area.

As the evenings draw in, it’s always lovely to pop into one of our lovely local pubs. I love having a meal at The Homestead, which is a fantastic welcoming pub in our constituency.

Thank you for the team for your wonderful service and the delicious food!

In Westminster, I met with the British High Commissioner to Fiji, Kanbar Hossein-Bor.

We spoke trade, defence and Climate change where Fiji is a leading voice in the Pacific Islands.
And of course, we spoke rugby, seeing that Fiji played England very recently at Twickenham

Yes, we spoke about lots of important stuff on championing chemistry education and careers BUT also lots of experiments too which are always everyone’s favourite bit!

A huge thank you to Rev. John Deakin and everyone at St Thomas’ Church, Wednesfield for a truly lovely and uplifting service.

Wednesfield is full of gems who look out and support one another, and the congregation at St Thomas’ truly exemplifies that spirit.
