Abusers play a long game, starting w/ emotional &psychological abuse. Long term exposure creates a psyche break &makes victims believe they can’t escape. They become trapped by invisible walls.Fear paralysis. It can take years to rewire this belief.It’s never as simple as just walking out the door.🚪

Listen, sometimes the kids do know better than us. I’ll never be like the silent generation who raised me and think my way is the only or right way. We can always be learning or in this case unlearning behaviors.

Had no idea. I was raised Catholic &attended Fellowship bcuz while I was already no longer religious, it provided an uplifting message w/o feeling too churchy. I also thought it would be good for my child to be raised w/some faith in a higher power. Luckily she didn’t buy into any of it ever.

Tear it all down and start over. Not only with this action but to close every loophole he exposed. We can’t simply begin again and hope for the best, or we gained nothing from this extremely difficult lesson.

Actually, there’s a mega church here in the Dallas area, known as Fellowship. Non-denominational. I used to attend & stopped when they began pushing the congregation to vote Trump back in 2016. They are still full on MAGA. Fortunately this also helped me totally deconstruct from all Christianity.

He is such a vile human being and it infuriates me that she didn’t stand up for herself or that anyone else from the press, present for this foul mouthed POS rant, didn’t speak up either. His gross behavior is typical narcissistic speak though. And women are always an easy target 🎯 to punch down on.
