And I guess some people think intentionally making a game look dilapidated and old as hell is bad? Weird and I don't agree but I guess dilapidated can mean bad to some people instead of just hot

I think most people have some idea of what's a good artistic choice and what's nothing. Like if you had a cool cavalry wargame but you intentionally made the box smell like horseshit I think almost everyone would say that's a bad intentional choice and feel comfortable saying that out loud

I do this for video games for quick time events and unnumbered upgrades. What do you mean "a portion of the spell's cost is converted to fire damage. WHAT PORTION? CONVERTED AT WHAT RATE?"

Ey whoa! There's cops who are pigs yeah. But also rats! Weasels? Ferrets. Dogs. Jackals! And in one county it says the postal inspectors are venomous eels?

I mean shouldn't we abolish the Senate? I never heard a compelling argument for why we should maintain a 2nd, less representative body

They don't want to pretend they have a girlfriend or a favorite sex worker, they want to pretend they have the kind of fame/wealth/power/hypnosis beam where random strangers undress.

The interesting contradiction here is the juxtaposition of "Tomb Croft is a shallow fantasy and it's dumb and unnatural to make her a full person!" with "Laura Raider is a core part of our gamer culture that we must conserve!" Their position is explicitly that their culture is and must remain trash

Sophie is pretty like a person. They want a toy, rubber and plastic, all fantasy no realism. M cups minimum to clarify that this is a vessel for lust who won't ask for any interiority.

So it sounds like if we solve scholarship scarcity then all the downstream problems become much lower stakes

Like I get that it's complicated but surely there's a complicated thing we can do that's fairer than the current implementation of "to prevent you from playing against someone way stronger we've bracketed off everyone with one trait that often results in strength"
January 14, 2026 at 3:07 PM
why dont you just bracket it on speed and strength then?
January 14, 2026 at 3:04 PM
I think this would be an extremely funny rule in a game that was doing a bit about constructed nationalism. Like "whoever is most American goes first"

Ok but surely women entered men spaces after ww2? that was all ten or fifteen years ago and we've all had time to relax, right???
January 14, 2026 at 1:15 PM
Can you tell me more about the first player who assumes the irish aren't real

I still don't get why gendered sports exist. Surely if the concern is that, say," it's not fun to play with an opponent that's too tall" you could simply introduce height brackets. Like boxing you have weight classes. Like I get sex is connected to several traits but you guys have had time to work

I dunno, if they know there's between 2 and 80 landmines in your house, that's still big news that I'd want before they narrowed it down further.
