Since retirement I've been baking for Triangle Pastries 4 Palestine. Bake sale money supports 3 relief organizations in Gaza. Our last bake sale sent $424 to each organization. That buys about one bag of flour in Gaza.

What a difference 30 years makes. When the Crossroads Target opened, they supported White Plains Children's Center, a daycare that serves special needs children and where our children went. Now they have disavowed diversity, equity, and inclusion.

I am about halfway through this book. It is a fascinating, even gripping, history of the principles of freedom of conscience and separation of church and state that lie at the foundation of our nation. It is a timely read for these days.
