I'm a very private person who avoids sharing personal information on social media. Actually, don't send me any cold-call DMs at all. I am here to gather information, examine ideas, and hopefully learn some more Gaelic. Thank you.
My latest stumbling block in learning Scottish Gaelic:
Why "tha farmad orm" or "tha an-t-eagal orm" or "tha an-t-acras orm" but not "tha cinnteach orm" or "tha toilichte orm" or even "tha brònach orm?"
Can this only be learned by rote or does a pattern or rule exist that can be applied elsewhere?

Favourite Gaelic sentence in Duolingo today:

"Tha mi a' coiseachd anns a' choille sheunta."
[I am walking in the enchanted forest.]

Because who doesn't need an enchanted forest today?

A difficulty I have with Duolingo is it doesn't explain stuff. For example, what is the difference between "deagh mhadainn" and "madainn mhath?" When do I use "mise" instead of "mi?" Why "na peataichean agam" not "mo pheataichean" when you do say "mo mhac?"

[I am learning Gaelic. I am not fluent ...yet.]
