you don't weigh at all that he won 2 of those 3 games?

doesn't it count at all that his return was a shot in the arm for his team, and they excelled w him. Doesn't it matter that while he missed a lot of passes, the most imp't plays (incl 3rd down + long on scoring drives, red zone), he made.

He has a lot of improving to do, but as a raw QB prospect, he's showing all the most important traits.

Which must have been sweet revenge for them after the 48.9% pressure Darnold saw in Week 18 at Ford Field last year that caused his meltdown, and Lions' demolition of Vikings in that crucial game .. + Vikings' subsequent passing on Darnold.

That's all true. But without the 6 or 7 key throws McCarthy had, they don't win. And some of those throws were very high difficulty passes made in very high stress situations. That's why people are saying it was promising showing.
