Women and children are arguably the most affected by the genocide in Gaza, but where is their voice ? All middle aged/old men, mainly white, sitting round deciding on the future with no input from those who will be impacted.

Some of them are in fabulous buildings that can be repurposed for single living accommodation. Freeing up family homes for.....families. That's happened to several pubs near me.

Murder as entertainment? Come on,Lucy, you can do better than this. It doesn't matter how long ago it happened. It is still a tragedy and shouldn't be made into a penny dreadful.

I remember that well. Not sure how it affected how people voted back then, but it certainly helped pave the way for 14 years of Tories, Brexit, austerity Johnson, Gove, Truss etc, and the lie that Labour can't be trusted with the economy because they invest in public services.

There is something inherently unpleasant about murder as entertainment.

It was the 2010 GE that let in the coalition government. Ed refused to challenge the Tory line of it being Labour's fault that the economy collapsed, and that gave them the okay to impose austerity, which contributed to Brexit.

Some of us who campaigned in 2010 struggle with Ed because he let the Tory/LibDem coalition get away with the lie that Labour caused the 2018 crash. He said he didn't want to 'look back' but that allowed the Tories to get away with saying Labour couldn't be trusted with the economy.

And not making a big fuss & fanfare about what they are doing.... Just getting on with the research into what needs to change & improve, and then formulating the right policies & laws. That's why the right wing media hate the Government- they are not being consulted!!

I love their white chocolate with almonds. But it's nearly £5 a bar. So I've stopped buying it

A lot of pensioners have public sector pensions, which are counted as part of the state pension in other European countries - all comes from the same pot. Also, free health care which is worth a great deal as well. And yes, I am a pensioner.

'Passed' when someone has died. When did died and dead become unacceptable and have to be substituted with a euphemism?

I often wonder what his parents were like. Did they have similar views ? Did his mother & father love him ? Did they tackle his racism? Does he have siblings, and what are their views? Strange we never get any more details of his upbringing.

During the leadership election the people who were wanting to be leader were invited to present to members in my local constituency. Lisa was way ahead of all the others -she was amazing. We had had Keir to local fundraising events-he was very professional, but very dull.

It's very exasperating when those with little chance of getting anywhere near power think they have simple answers to complex problems. The Greens would do better to support the Labour Government and bring pressure to bear to get some of their agenda adopted. Would fo wonders for their credibility.

Certainly does not confuse me
November 27, 2025 at 4:48 PM
Oh do be quiet, you silly boy. What would you do differently-not that you will ever get anywhere near power?

I'm no Reform fan - in fact, quite the opposite. But if the deficit is so great and Reform took over the Council in May, then surely at least part of the overspend was inherited ?

Once a Tory, always a Tory..... I feel the same about Rory Stewart - so very credible, but under the surface, he's still nasty.

The problem is not the perpetrators' colour, it's the fact they are all men.
