A scapegoat is a person blamed for bad acts someone else has done. Examples are immigrants being blamed for violent crime when most violent crimes are committed by U.S. citizens. Or transgender people being blamed for sexual assault of children when many are committed by clergy.

If I were a liberal billionaire, I’d think about creating a new media outlet that could scoop up all the talent that’s been marginalized and offer a product that half this country would eagerly pay for. A true public service, but one with profits.
