The Abound (no suffix) should be torque sensing? I did some reading and it looks like older Aventons sensed cadence but the company switched over relatively recently.

Per Aventon's website the transitional models are Aventure 3, Abound LR/SR, Level 3, and Pace 4

When I was bike shopping I test-rode an Aventon Abound and was overall pleased during the short trial. I ultimately went with a Specialized Globe Haul ST because I got it for a steal from a local dealer
