like come on guys. i'm playing on easy mode for you over here and you *still* managed to fuck it up

maybe if you tried this before you guys completely lost the plot on ai it might very well have been successful

did you suffer through eating the whole thing or

yeahh :/ supposedly they're like. kind of better about it now, but still not the best i believe

iirc linus torvalds is famous for crashing out over it at a conference once lol

Linux things 😔 every time i update versions my nvidia drivers break for whatever reason

(nvidia is known for not playing nice in the open source world so I'm not surprised i fear)

there's also librewolf and waterfox, which are both forks (versions not directly by mozilla) of firefox and i believe remove it all too

because they're based on firefox, everything should still work the same (minus the ai) -- but if firefox goes under, then so too do they unfortunately

yeah.. a bunch of the AI stuff *can* technically all be disabled by going into about:config and searching for "browser.ml" and setting anything with enabled to false, but it still feels bad :(

they seem to be going all in on AI 😞 they've made two separate posts about it recently..

the first one was about it in firefox: connect.mozilla.org/t5/discussio...

the second is about how they want to "shape" AI: blog.mozilla.org/en/mozilla/r...

less tea, and more me being a bit of a hypixel / hytale hater i suppose :p

like idk. the server with the monopoly on minecraft minigames and that is still stuck on a version of the game that released over a decade ago being the ones bringing competition is deeply ironic to me

also ignores the *countless* other indies that occupy the space, but i digress :p

think i'm going to reprioritize this one

the hardware alone is hella impressive, but i think the thing with quite possibly the most far reaching impact is the x86 -> arm translation. feels like another proton moment tbh

i'm *super* curious to see how / if it runs on apple silicon at all :O
