This beautiful short film, filmed by Shane Hatton shows our farm in May 2023. I talk about why I farm the way I do and the need & importance of dung beetles for biodiversity

The stage horn sumac is looking stunning in her autumnal colours. Such diversity of colour within one species is what makes nature so wonderfully beautiful.

Some raggedy arsed clouds are skittering across the full moon like lacy webs on a ghostly night. I just need to hear a wolf’s howl to complete the atmosphere

Oh yes sorry🤦‍♀️ They did

Goodness me no!!! Alpaca protect flock from foxes and stray dogs. Sheep are bred to sell to other breeders or as meat for myself or my community of clients. Their wool has been used in past to make into yarn and woven into blankets. All part of a small farm enterprise to earn an income

Yes thank you 😄👍😅

Oh noooo!!! This is truly sad news. A magnificent thoughtful writer

A walk through woods before the storm & before autumnal leaf change youtu.be/pYXGQxTT0Us?... via @YouTube So much wildlife food from beech trees, beech nuts, crab apple, hawthorn&spindle. Smaller trees have thrived this last year where I’ve thinned out ivy to let more sunlight in

I moved the lamb hoggett flock yesterday and they’re not at all sure about this new gate configuration this morning.
Sadly the gate post has died so must dig out old one and put in a new one.

An improved aspect of my garden this summer, that’s still improving. Can’t wait to see how it fleshes out next year

An absolutely stunning sunrise. This short clip does not show how deeply rich the colours were.
I’m sure @CarlowWeather will know why.
