“Wishing for roses, I walk through the garden
Where the world’s reddest rose leans from a wall

Where the statues still remember me as a girl
And I recall their gestures under the Neva’s water.”

Anna Akhmatova

“I saw no Way-The Heavens were stitched-
I felt the Columns close-
The Earth reversed her Hemispheres-
I touched the Universe-

And back it slid-and I alone-
A Speck upon a Ball-
Went out upon Circumference-
Beyond the Dip of Bell-

“The night is darkening round me, the wild winds blow, but a tyrant spell has bound me, and I cannot, cannot go.

The giant trees are bending, their bare boughs weighed with snow, and the storm is fast descending, and yet I cannot go.” Emily Brontë

From the answering machine messages, to the guest stars, to Mary’s incredible voice this album was a sonic standout and changed the direction of r&b. Constantly performed by me and my friends in my car during the 90s

If, like me, you’re trying to catch up on all the comics you’ve missed in 2025, this should be your first stop. The reboot of the character is excellent, the witch vibe definitely adds to the story. Also, great dialogue and phenomenal art. Looking forward to rest of Absolute series #comics

“It was a September evening…the day had been a dreary one and a dense drizzly fog lay low upon the great city. Mud colored clouds drooped sadly over the muddy streets. The yellow glare from the shop windows threw a murky shifting radiance…” Sign of the Four - AC Doyle

Here’s a record that meant a lot to me in 2025 both in message and music. I’m going to take a page out of someone else’s rule book and post a link to a better review
