I have no reference for why you would even make that an absolute age cutoff for “all of this.” Are you recalling the baby boomer’s “don’t trust anyone over 30?” Because if so, that’s just echoing the people you’re criticizing.

I think the issue here is a lot of people read it too young when their analytical skills and understanding of the world weren’t very developed and thought it was a book about narcissists having a party.

This is idiotic. We have station wagons. We have SUVs. We have vans and Ford F150s! It’s not as if we’re all driving around in tiny cars. And wood paneling has almost nothing to do with fuel efficiency (maybe it adds a little extra drag). We don’t have Ford Galaxies because we now have better cars.
