Suddenly the 100 Day Project feels short! Days 78-82 this week are sets of squares with circular centers removed. It started with a block from 2023 that I didn't like. Carved out the center on a day I only had a few minutes for my project. Thus started the week! I like these mix-n-match sets! Xos

We celebrate two years of publications with our May issue!! This month I had help with creating three of the graphics.

One: The original butterfly photograph was taken by writer, Maureen Tai and inspired her to write her creative nonfiction, Breathless.

The word “journey” used to mean a single day’s travels, and the French word for day, jour, is packed neatly inside it, like a single pair of shoes in a very small case. Maybe all journeys should be imagined as a single day, short as a trip to the corner or long as a life in its ninth decade.

Where is your N + 1?

If three people are coming over for dinner, does that stress you out? What if it's 17? If you're giving a talk explaining your strategy to four people, does it feel like a high-risk event? What if it's 54? How many more people are required before it flips to stressful? Because…

If three people are coming over for dinner, does that stress you out? What if it's 17? If you're giving a talk explaining your strategy to four people, does it feel like a high-risk event? What if it's 54? How many more people are required before it flips to stressful? Because the last person is just one person. If you're performing in an auditorium, there are still only thirty people you can see from the stage. N + 1 is just 1 more.
