As a reminder to all:
Do not obey in advance!
Without a physical warrant that they're actually able to hand you to keep for your own records or on your own person do not comply.
Don't trust anyone not in uniform and refusing to show their ID first. Their phones are proof of absolutely nothing!!!

The coolest thing I’ve seen today is that a bunch of volunteer public health professionals and developers have restored the CDC website from before January 20th 2025.

This differs from an archive in that they want to rebuild the links between pages and replicate the full website.

Universities and Institutions have to push back NOW.

When they threaten one group of scientific institutions, if we are silent, we will be next.

HHMI and the other potential targets need to work with red state Unis to stall this illegal targeting in courts.

Hey if anyone is considering backing up any datasets for some reason today, the Open Science Framework has free storage up to 5G/private repository, and up to 50G/public repository.

(The OSF is run by a 501c3 (Center for Open Science), so if you do this you might also consider making a donation.)
