Adelita Grijalva won her special election a month and a half ago, and has still not been sworn in. Today Mike Johnson said she could be sworn in whenever she wants. Later his spokesman said, oops, no, she won't be sworn in till the end of the shutdown. Always a new excuse.

Today's daily dog is the intelligent, loyal Stabyhoun. This very rare dog came from the Netherlands whose name roughly translates to “stand by me.” These devoted dogs were bred to be all-purpose working dogs, as well as gentle and affectionate family companions. Good with other dogs and kids.
