they do have an ad free plan (12 euros a month or 120 a year) but they don't show it on the page. both pricing pages don't acknowledge the other subscriptions.

That's not a free choice as required per GDPR. The "Reject all and subscribe button" doesn't work.

i have one complaint with ecosia. sometimes there are just TOO MANY ads. the first search result doesn't always show, requiring a scroll.
this is worst when searching for product categories instead of "set emoji as favicon", which has no ads
