Lurker. Inventing, mostly.
They completely disassemble Mike TV. Straight up atomized the little puke.

One of my all time favorite moments in cinema, no lie

J Aaron finally had him kill bad cops, which was such a relief. Series was messed up.

I have said Carnahan is a “filmmaker’s filmmaker” cuz his dedication to the craft is thorough to the point of alienating casual viewers despite his devotion to genre.

He’s ace, and knows how to mount a stellar sequence and tell an involving story.

One of the greatest "antihero" performances with Leguizamo. Top five for me. I wish all Spike joints were this audacious. Unfortunately his is a career of mostly try-hardities, with the occasional banger (this, Bamboozled, Get on the Bus, a couple others).

Pure, unparalleled brilliance. If you are a rationally-minded person and have seen, and thus LOVE, Ishtar, you may click with this poster I drew for my wife, whose favorite film it is. I found myself working with divine guidance on this one.

Love your May love. A true GOAT. Can I be a braggart and show you one of my favorite artworks I’ve done?

That lime slice is sending me. A tiny brilliance in the vein of the log cross section you posted yesterday or the day before.

Hell yes. It’s been a pleasure re-listening to focus on his contributions recently. So many songs are given a real funky dimension that, if I’m honest, could have often been highlighted a bit more in the production. In Paddy’s defense, he always has a trove of sub-surface delights to consider…

“…zero American lives” is so ghoulish. So grotesque as to invite sanction. I can’t abide it — tell me how this is not just all evil.

I was there — it was a singular ecstatic experience. Part of me is frustrated it hasn’t been released on DVD (they filmed it, I was there!), but another admittedly smaller part of me cherishes that You Just Had To Be There.

Did it? Seems like the point of the movie was that life is only as meaningful as our capacity to remember it. Which is hella depressing…

Haneke did Funny Games. Sluizer did The Vanishing. Etc.

I like the original MWKTM best. The Day on is decently entertaining though. Quest cera.

Not comfortable with the phrase “banger skeet,” but am comfortable that this is one.

Kinda like how roads are always wet in B&W films… it’s for texture!

While I love this film, and you, and your opinions, I cannot sanction “wild” given the vast charms of the R/B catalogue. Rudolph contains multitudes, much like Citizen Kane. But to some, Kane is simply not Casablanca…

Benton is boss, lowkey one of the greats. Excellent film.
