An immigration judge in San Francisco has just announced in court that the afternoon docket will no longer be in session. Activists outside have announced Immigration Court in Concord have also be suspended for the afternoon.

City crews are at Lincoln Way and The Great Highway in San Francisco. They’re removing the stop lights and center median. The Upper Great Highway officially closed yesterday. Last year voters approved a plan to turn a portion into an oceanfront park. It was a controversial vote for neighbors here.

Two women arrested in the SFPD chase ending in a crash into a Mission Pub Parklet Sunday will be arraigned tomorrow. The SF District Attoeney says Taylor Ross,27 and Eureeka Abrams, 29 face several charges. Ross, who was driving, faces many charges related to the bystanders injured in the crash.

SFPD and SFFD on the scene this chilly morning for a dead body near the corner of 18th Street and Castro. No information on cause of death or ID. Local business employees say the person was unhoused and was unresponsive on the sidewalk. So they called 911.

San Francisco City Crews are setting up a fentanyl triage center. Mayor Daniel Lurie says people picked up by police for public drug use will be brought here for an assessment by Public Health, an offer of treatment, the possibility of arrest, or a bus ticket out of the city.

SF Dept Of Water crews made quick work of a small sink hole that developed at Gough and Lombard. A crewman says the heavy rain runoff pulled up sediment around a recently repaired high pressure hydrant line. They’re putting a metal plate over it till rain stops and they can make a permanent repair.

According to the FAA, a military Sikorsky H-60 helicopter collided with an American Airlines regional jet as it approached Reagan National Airport. The collision was captured by a Kennedy Center observation camera.

A series of billboards are going up across San Francisco telling drivers about the city’s new speed cameras that will go online in March. San Francisco is the first city in California to activate speed cameras since they became legal last year.

In the wake of the suspected terrorist attack New Years Day in New Orleans, the organizers of San Francisco’s “Downtown First Thursday” event wouldn’t discuss any specifics about security. But we did notice two city dump trucks have been parked at either end of the event on 2nd Street tonight.

Check out the #coyote I spotted in the streets above #Castro in San Francisco. He was taking a New Years Eve stroll through the neighborhood. I’m happy to say all the dog owners in the area also had them in leashes, which is always a good idea with these guys around.
