Even with it's Marvel-esque superficiality, the way it conceptualizes the power of music through time is very effective, and its ending is almost transcendent. Still, it is hard not to see this as a missed opportunity for something far more meaningful.
A ★★★ review of Sinners (2025)

Solid, but could have set a track record with a better opening lap.

A ★★★★ review of Wake Up Dead Man (2025)
Immediately intellectually engaging and humorous, Josh O'Connor's performance brings a surprising amount of humanity and depth with his portayal of Father Jud. Josh Brolin's performance also stand out...

A slice of life, but the whole pie. And not like cherry or pumpkin, but rather some other more complex, subtle, and strange fruit.

Bugonia reminds me of Pan’s Labrynth by @realgdt.bsky.social in the best way. Emotionally intelligent explanations for why breaking from reality is a logical response to unimaginable trauma. I don’t know if I’m interpreting them “right,” but in my eyes they are psychological masterpieces. #Bugonia

Rep. Vindman reviewed Trumps calls with foreign leaders while on the national security counsel. The two most problematic: Trump’s call with Zelensky, which led to his first impeachment and Trump’s call to Mohammed bin Salman after the murder of American journalist Jamal Kashoggi. “You’ll be shocked”

Horrible take from @jimmytraina.bsky.social when he called Aaron Gordon soft after he played with a grade 2 hamstring strain. Adds fuel to the narrative that modern sports writers only care about controversy.

As any great general knows, you want to provoke all of your opponents at the same time, so they have plenty of reason to coordinate and team up against you. #tariffs
